Activities
Free guided tours, lectures, films. If you are interested, please consult the Art Museum's newsletter, contact the Communications Officer or watch the local press for details. Lecture stools are available for visitors attending public tours.
The Art Museum welcomes the opportunity to host cultural, professional and educational functions. Copies of the guidelines and tariffs are available on request.
For Children
Workshops are held regularly at the Art Museum and activity sheets may be obtained from the Information Desk.
Education Services
The Art Museum offers a variety of education services for the whole community. For education programme details, teachers, schools and other educational groups should contact the Communications Officer during office hours. Contact times: 08h30 - 12h45, 14h00 - 17h00.
Reference Library and Archive
Our up-to-date reference library covers aspects of art relating to the Museum's collecting policy. Members of the public may use the library by appointment for reference purposes. Photocopies may be made if required (current charges available on request).
The archive consists of manuscript material and a wide range of printed ephemera relating to the Museum's collections. It is only available to post-graduate students and those carrying out research for publications, exhibitions, etc. (only by appointment).
Advice on Works of Art
Staff will assist with enquiries made by post, fax or phone. Permanent staff may be consulted during office hours (by appointment).
NB: NO EVALUATIONS WILL BE GIVEN.
Conservation of Works of Art
The Art Museum has a well equipped conservation studio which deals mainly with the restoration of oil paintings. If you are interested in knowing more about the preservation of artworks you may consult our professional staff during office hours. |
