Exhibition opening function - Who's who and what's new 2009

The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum's annual Who's who and what's new? exhibition has attracted a record number of entries from local artists wishing to make the most of this unique opportunity to showcase their work and promote the visual arts in Nelson Mandela Bay.
The exhibition will open on Thursday 3 December 2009 at 17:30 for 18:00 with guest speaker Monde Ngonyama, Director, Swii Arts Amendment. Monde also serves as Deputy Chairperson of the National Film and Video Foundation and as Board Member of the Eastern Cape Arts and Culture Council.
Art lovers and members of the public are invited to come and enjoy the variety of what is currently being produced by established and emerging artists, from colourful abstract and humorous works to those depicting more serious issues.
The Friends of the Art Museum will once again be offering the option of a silent auction for those wishing to buy work at competitive prices.
The exhibition will be on show until 24 January 2010.
