Basic Xhosa Dance Workshop

Celebrate this year's Heritage Day by learning Xhosa dance moves at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum 

Introductory dance workshops will be run by Qhama Africa, lead by dancer Mninawa Mangweni.

This fun programme will begin with marimba music and a brief walkabout of the exhibition, For Future Generations: Hugh Tracey and the International Library of African Music (ILAM). This will be followed by the dance workshop which will include a background on traditional dance, learning some basic steps and a demonstration by the experts.
