The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum will be hosting Visual Art workshops for children during the October School Holidays.

 
Join us for two exciting creative sessions!

Fun-Filled Creative Workshops for children


Beading with Pony Beads
Date: 6 October
Time: 9h30 - 12h00 
Age: 5 - 8 years old
Price: R 30 cash per child

In this workshop, children will develop their fine motor skills while exploring math, pattern recognition, and creative expression through beading. Using pony beads and string or pipe cleaners, they'll create patterns and learn about the cultural significance of beadwork in different societies. Discover how beadwork connects to storytelling and have fun while learning!


3-Day Clay Bust Workshop
Dates: 8, 9 & 10 October
Age: 9 - 15 years old
Time: 9h30 - 12h00 
Price: R 60 cash per child

Join our guest facilitator for a 3-day workshop where children will learn to sculpt a human form from the shoulders up using clay. They'll explore basic form, structure, and detail, developing their creative skills and confidence.
